Fortunately enough for myself, I got to head back to Denver & Breckenridge for New Year's Eve/Day. It was a much more spur of the moment trip that a lot of my other trips planned for this year as some friends had an opening during the holidays to host me again and show me around more!
After spending a wonderful evening in the Pepsi Center watching the Colorado Avalanche play the Chicago Blackhawks in outstanding form, OVERTIME baby!, I ventured extremely early on January 1st, up through the Eisenhower Tunnel back to one of my favorite places on this earth, Breckenridge Mountain Resort. It was extremely cold and the wind was bitter to the face, at this point I had very little skin showing to prevent as much windburn to my face as I could.
When leaving the front range and watching the weather channel, it looked grim that our group would have a good weather day, but by the time we were up through the pass and at the resort the clouds broke and we had blue bird skis.
